    I think my son would like the Scholastic: Digging for Dinosaurs App. because it is not only a game but learning & he loves Dinosaurs.

    A part I really liked in the review by @nightowlmama on the LeapFrog LeapPad2 was "All of the content on the Leapfrog I know is safe for my children. There’s no swearing, no ads for them to click and no opportunities to accidentally download or delete things they shouldn’t like playing with the Ipad or a cell phone." Because my son seem to always want to click on thing on my cell. It also is durable & would be all his & would not have to share.
